Introducing...

Me (you can call me Tiffany) -

I love baseball, (go Braves!)...I love a clean kitchen (I may have a touch of OCD!)...I am an introvert but when called to duty, I can play the part of an extrovert...Love me some Haagen Daz Caramel Cone ice cream...As a result of loving ice cream, I am in the gym at least 3 times a week...I work out in the evening, there just isn't enough time in the morning...I realize that it still takes a village to raise a child, it's ok if some of the inhabitants are online. I hope that this blog becomes a part of that village...My kids keep me on my toes, love 'em...My husband is truly my partner.

My posts reflect my journey as a working outside the home mom, the tightrope walk of raising a teenager who is almost off to college to monitoring the homework time of a rambunctious elementary school age girl to still making time to date my husband. Most days, I feel like a gladiator. Shielding and fighting, fighting and shielding. Imagine Russell Crowe, standing in that arena, shouting "Are you not entertained?" Yep, many a day I feel like yelling that out, as I am sure many mothers have the same feeling.

Motherhood is motherhood, regardless if you stay at home, work from home or work outside the home. They say "talk about what you know"; I work outside the home at a wonderful healthcare organization. I am a wife. I am a mother of two. My journey consists of learning how to continually blend my work and my life outside of work. My motivation for this blog does not stem from creating a SAHM vs. WOTHM forum. We appreciate your input regardless of where you work. All moms, this is the place for us to build a community that focuses on giving you what you need in your motherhood journey.

Meet the the folks who inspire me to carry out this journey:

MonkeyMan - My man, my main man (ok, I have seen Wreck It Ralph too many times!) sweet and kind husband, the one who can really get me to thinking. Soft spoken but can get his point across. He adores monkeys, the Wax Vac and the Jacksonville Jaguars. Wherever we go, he manages to find some weird hat to pop on his head. Of course, I am there to take the shot, you'll see the pics on the blog from time to time. This is truly a family man, he has taught me so much about being more family oriented. Does a mean impression of Sheriff Roscoe P. Coltrane (remember Dukes of Hazzard) and knows his way around the kitchen (cause I sure don't!).

Yogli Mogli - the 17 year old, loves to debate, enjoys old school music, building his platform for when he takes over the broadcasting world. He gets his name from his interesting take on why yogurt shops should not exist. Has a broad range of music tastes: Loves Foo Fighters, AudioSlave and the Eagles. As kryptonite was to Superman, so are Clean kitchens and his bedroom to him.

Hummingbird - flutters around constantly, loves to write in her journal, loses herself in chapter books, films herself dancing and singing. All the pizazz of a Disney star, the journey with her has taught me a lot! Between karate chops (thanks Tony Young All-stars) and flying down the sidewalk on her bike, she is as sweet as a gumdrop.
